The one, the only...Babe Ruth! Fast sketch in Photoshop - about 45 min. Oh yeah, used photo for reference.http://k-squared.com/baberuth.jpg

initial picture: 38minutes - openCanvas1.1
over the coarse of the day I keep switching over to it and see a thing
I don't like or I would like to have and do little tiny adjustments...
...I began doing this a while back, I think starting with the cloud city,
where I would go back in and refine things...however, only if I like the
image enough and not enough to do that....

So on this one I:
...added a hand and some fine tuning...10 minutes
...lit up the flesh a little 2 minutes
...put a bird in the background 15 seconds

Another Babe Ruth I'm afraid, amazing how much bounced light you start noticing, ended up concentrating on that really.

1.5hr / photoshop / wacom

I saw "Hero" with Jet Li this weekend and what an amazing movie. The colors of the movie inspired me to something in only one color. Figured I might as well combine that with a daily sketch and this is what I got.

andrewley: Like your style. Your machines are always so friggin cool.
robinayles: Good likeness.
Taron333: You have one sick imagination buddy. Awesome pic by the way. Adding the bird was a good idea. I think it add a bit of depth and realism to your picture.
NoPancakeMix: Nice babe. Makes me think a bit of the imagery from "The Cell"
WillSweat: I like the fade out. You did a good job on the lips too.
Dutchman: Nice one. She looks content. I like your WIP.
drawMonger: That is hilarious. Awesome idea. Had me cracking up all day.
pooby: Looks like we were thinking along the same lines. Nice and simple.
Cyani:d Wow. You have improved alot from your first posts here Cy. Great lighting on this one.
Kieronh: Nice painterly feel. Going B&W was a good idea.
Aelea: (taking cover) Not someone Id want to cross in a dark... well, anywhere.

Aries326 (member.php?u=56963): Your image isn't loading at all for me. I've even tried viewing it with both IE and Firefox, as well as reloading the page. Perhaps you forgot to post it? I'd like to see it, so if you get a minute, see what you can do : ).
