Title: Little Robot
Name: Semir Saleh
Country: United Kingdom
Software: LightWave 3D
This was my first ever character model. It was completely done in lightwave 3d 8 (modelling, surfacing, rigging, rendering etc)I made the model completly off the top of my head...i didnt even have a sketches or anything..i just made the torso an thought...hey that looks good maybe i should give it a head and so on..the main problem for me was the hands.. i didnt know whether to make them human looking hand or some kind of claw and i have seen other peoples robot artwork and they all had human hands so to be different i gave him claws..
I wanted to make him as realistic as possible so he looks like a real little robot so i went on google and found some good HDR images and then stuck em in lightwave and here we are..and it worked so well that when i showed one of my friend he was kind of quiet when he saw it and i said..say something..do you like it..he said..its a photograph, you didnt make it...and that was good news for me..ha ha but maybe he was on crack, i dont know....anyway feel free to comment because i'm always trying to improve everything i do
