My display resolution is 1280*1024.
And the most terrible things that happen when I use 1280*1024 is everything I made in this resolution looks slimmer when viewed from other standard 4:3 resolution like 1024*768, 1280*960 or 1600*1200. How do you solve this problem?
Okay... this is usually the cause of this...
Answer these questions.
Is the monitor widescreen or regular 4x3 aspect ratio?
What is your current screen resolution?
If the monitor is wide-screen and your resolution is a multiple of 4x3 (i.e. 1280x960 or 1600x1200) then your resolution is squashing things horizontally...
If this is not the case, then it may be that the pixel ratio (render>render>options>format>pixel ratio) is off... set it to 1 for computer renders or 0.9 for NTSC output.
Edit... I see you've already thought of this.
If your monitor is 4:3... you need to use a 4:3 resolution. How do you do it??? Are you on windows?

Wow. Thank you for you kind and thoughtful answers.
I use standard(not wide screen :) ) 19 inch monitor with resolution 1280*1024 on windows XP. I used to work on 1280*960 but I had to change to use XSI and it`s cool so far.
I changed the pixel ratio to 1.0 and in the preview option I chose Use current pass render setting. And now it works great even in the render region!
Will the image created in this pixel setting still look slimmer when I switch to 4:3 resolution?
If so, how can i fix it?
Thanks.
