Hey everyone, il post the info I typed to a friend of mine so I dont have to re-type it. And so this is my problem....

Bartek N says:

I used to use the video-out on my Radeon9800 pro to feed video into my TV upstairs. I had it setup so that I could play a movie, the movie would play on the TV, but I could still work on the computer monitor. Everything worked fine...

Bartek N says:

but now i remodelled

Bartek N says:

and my sister is actually in my room, and I am in hers. So now since im so far away from where the main TV is, i decided i would run the Video Out through her Geforce 4 ti

Bartek N says:

I have it plugged into the back of the card as SVIDEO, which then comes out slightly and turns into an RCA video connector, which I then connect a longer RCA cable and the plug that into the TV.

Bartek N says:

Everytime I try to ENABLE the second display in the display properties, the monitor flickers as if to change into the Clone mode but nothing happens. It gets reset - the tv is not enabled.

Bartek N says:

I try to enable FORCE DETECTION OF MY TV, but it still doesnt detect the TV.

Bartek N says:

I even tried on another TV, it wont detect that either.

Open up the Geforce driver panel and click on the nview display mode.. and select detect displays.. nview should pick up the tv and allow you to turn on certain display modes.. like horizontal span.. clone.. vertical span. .etc hit apply and see if that works.. if it still does that flicker thing.. maybe you need to a) upgrade the drivers, or b) check that the svid to rca plug you have works ...i've run into some instances where the svideo to rca plug only transmitted color.. or there was some adjustment with the tv settings in the driver panel that needed to be done to transmit color.. thats all i can guess at at the moment.. its been a while since i used a TV with my computer.. no real reason to since i've got two 19" crts..

I tried everything - even the Detect displays button. Im guessing the little adapter part that goes from SVIDEO to RCA might be corrupt, but im not sure...

By the way, the reason I want to watch it on the TV is because it is a 52 inch Toshiba :P
