If I may give you one little suggestion, from seeing your concept sketch?
Make the machine a bit smaller and the wings a bit bigger, it will "work" better and will fit better with the size of the pilot.
Maybe I'm just picky but that's because I like the thing.

but you have the biggest challenge in front of you, kids are hard to get right! but looking at your model so far I think you might do well there also :)

Mmm MMM, that's the stuff..fantastic concept and wonderful execution so far.. :love:

Only crits I can think of are that some of the ball and socket joints, and other parts, simply pass through the connected pieces, it'd add a lot if you made them all fit together physically. Also once you get there, some asymmetry would help give it even more homebrew flavour.

I think asymmetry is well thougth visually, but not from the point of view of an enginner mind like the dragon boy geniuz, because of the performance and some general mechanical laws.

For example, you can have a home made plane but you still need to have a simetry. this vehicle is a ground unit as well as a flying one, stability matters. ;)

The backpack could be some gas holders (maybe 3) like the ones that is used in old kitchens (like mine) it would really give a more home made look to the subject. Instead of a incredible lean mean hightech industry backpack.

Also I believe the model should be a little squashed to maintain the cool appearance of the initial concept (is it still possible?)

The reason i'm not using house hold objects is because its not has fun "for me" to model someting that allready exists. And I would problably loose interest in my model... :shrug: hehheh I like to use my imagination. :D keeps my mind fresh. BUT you are right about your poit. Thanks!!! :thumbsup:

I think its size is perfect because I believe it will be most used for glidding, right? Afterall the main propulsion are not wings but the engines. Wings are like a more powersaving mode! ;) lol

I just want to say thank you to every one who posted here. your crits and encouragment were very important. :thumbsup: But I just returned from vacation and I'm going back again to a weekend of vaction :D and sadlly I wont be able to finish this project the way I wanted. :annoyed: I'll just put a last render. sadlly its unfinished and without the character. who was the heart of my idea. :shrug: but I really need this vacations. :D And to all participants of this contest.
