View Full Version : Ipr Corrupt

I have a big problem with the IPR, i won't run and say:
// Error: An exception has occurred, rendering aborted. //
// Error: E:/Maya project/_tmp_ipr.iff : IPR file is corrupt and is missing key data //
anybody how to solve this problem please ?

Delete the temporary ipr file. Sometimes it gets really big and becomes corrupt.

you have enough disk space?
as beaker said: those files can get very big very fast..
something over 100 megs is easy in PAL res..

I think that the problem is in the .mb, because when i load the file on another computer the problem is the same.
I have taked a previous saved file to continue my work, but it is the second time that i have it and i would like to know what is reponsable and how to solve it

The problem continue !!!
i really don't understand, apparently he have lost the attribute to render the file...
i have try a lot of thing :
import the scene in another new...
open in maya 4.5
try on another computer
ALWAYS the same thing :
IPR won't run and worth : RENDER freeze !!!
Help me please.

Ahh, using 4.5, beta software. Maybe this is an issue you need to contact a/w about.

i work with maya 4.02
i have tested a 4.5b only to see if my problem was solved but it's not!

Try moving your prefs to another location so maya can recreate them. That might solve your problem. Corrupt prefs might be what is up.

your maya preferences are located in your "Documents and Settings\"user name"\My Documents\maya" folder. Thats windows, if your in another operating system then just look in your home directory for the same thing.

Not solved.
As i said i have tested it on another computer and the problem was the same, so the bug is probably in my file ...

just for a try:
give all your objects a standard lambert shader and IPR again.
if maya survives that it is likely that you found a bug by creating some shader network..
i think then the time has come to send the file as a bug report to alias.. if you have support contract contact them directly

I have finally find the problem, i had use in the past mayaman and the name of the shader was a problem for maya because i have desintalled mayaman now..
