View Full Version : help- invisible plains
Goombadan 09-09-2004, 08:30 PM Heyo-
I went through this car tutorial, and started out with blueprints plains, but i have a problem:
I can't see them from some angles in the perspective view, even though i turned on "force two sided" and the default lightning both in the perspective view configuration and in the material editor (thought it might help).
Any help would be appreciated..

Any help would be appreciated..the force two sided thing, is that just in the render settings where you've set it?
you need to set it in display settings, the force 2 sided in render settings is for when you render, not the normal viewport display
hope that helps

Actually the "Force 2 sided" in the Rendering got out perfectly, it's just the perspective view problem.
This is what i did exactly- right click the perspective label in the perspective view-> configuration, and under "Rendering options" turned on "Force 2 sided" and "default lightning".
But it seems like the perspective view is divided to four (90 degrees each) views, and you can't see the plains in some of them...

edit: yep, just checked you need to set 2-sided on your material too

Never mind- Problem solved..
I have a GeForce 4 MX 440 graphic card and i changed the driver from "Direct 3d" to "OpenGL"
and it works now... doesn't have a clue why, but it works :)

I had the same problem some time ago..what i did was this.
I aplied a shell modifier in max 6 on each plain, that seems to fix the problem.
