Really nice picture. My only crits is that it lakes depth. The lightning could be worked more (try to alter the light intensity. It look like a comet is gonna crach on earth). good work

I love the environment. How did you do the ground texture behind him it looks lovely!

well i think displacement gives it that look. The ground is about 1 milion polys.

Very nice work!
Which soft did U use?
How did U make the foreground grass?

U should try to have an uniformity in the armor, the knees are so different than the other parts...
Try to change a little bit the posture of your hero, more heroic perhaps...
(sorry for my english, hope U anderstand me?)

Yep, i understand. Ur english is quite good. Soft - Max. About the grass if i remeber right it was a plane with lots of polys, then i put a noise map on displacement, + noise map on bump map, and some green texture on collor. The effect comes from displacemnet and bump.

The ground is just fantastic, and I really like that shield, it just looks so awsome.

The only critique I could saw, was I think the strap going around the torso, from his left shoulder armor, should be higher, more around his chest, almost under his armpit. Or else it looks like it would slip off his shoulder.

But other that that, really great job.

Wow amazin
how much poly do U have in this scene?
how much time did it take to render? on what machine?

SWOMA

Ok i dunno if i remeber right but. Background was about 2,5 M polys. And it was rendered on duron 800 with 640 mb ram about a hour and 5 mins ofcorse with GI. But it was because i put a lot of sample eaven too much. Normaly it rendered about 30 mins. Now the foreground is without GI, it is about 2 M polys and it rendered in 15 min.:bounce:

Wow, nice pic SWOMA. it seems like from blizzard :buttrock: :buttrock:

The only thing i see ekk.. rare are the armor knees. i would put one like the shoulders (the style...)

Send it to blizzard

but is it possible to animate the grass with displacement? (like bending in wind)? Did U use Material displacement or moddifier?

My only comment is the grass... seems like they are spikes that can really hurt the guy standing there. Looks almost like urchin spikes.

maybe you can bend them with a displacement map.

Heh u asked about the grass in the background and i wrote about the grass in the background, the grass in front are normal objects with a gradient attached to diffuse chanel. Thats it. About the spikes as a grass. He is a tough guy, he wont feel any paint :)
