IEMC is currently seeking well-motivated Part-Time Instructors to join our partnership schools in Beijing and Taiwan.
Teaching positions are available for the followings courses:
· Computer 3D Modeling and Animation I
This course introduces 3D modeling techniques used in a computerized environment.Students will create their own 3D models to which they will apply effective lighting and materials.
· Project Management for Game Art
This course focuses on the management process of multimedia projects and on the development of project goals.The process methodology examines the main elements required in every proposal/plan: time frame and budget.Key areas of multimedia project teams serve to support the fundamental approach (which tailors every project team to achieve specific project results efficiently and effectively).
· Introduction to Game Development
This course will introduce students the basic game design theory (including game play and design strategy) as well as the historical development of all types of game genres (sports, board games, video-games, etc.)Students will explore the affect of world and market conditions on game development.In addition, the course will examine specific history of the video game industry, as will the overall processes involved in developing a video game from the initial concept to selling the proposal to publishers.
· Storyboard Rendering for Animation
This course explores design graphics for effective animated sequences through the development of storyboards.Students will utilize design, drawing and rendering skills, as well as problem-solving creativity.
· Digital Image Manipulation I
This course is designed to explore photo retouching, image manipulation and the creation of original artwork using computers and appropriate software. Compositing, color adjustment and effects through the use of filters will be stressed.
· Digital Image Manipulation II
This course is designed to enhance further the skills acquired in previous image manipulation and technology based classes. Emphasis will be placed on advanced applications and the identification of the best solution for an assigned task. Integration of programs to achieve a required product will also be emphasized.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should possess significant experience in the game/animation/film industry and/or relevant teaching experience (i.e., minimum of 2 year industry experience with at least one published/shipped title; or minimum of 2 year teaching experience at college level). Successful candidates must have proper education background in the respective subject areas. Master's degree preferred and Bachelor's degree required.
