After much discussions, organising and working with Pixologic on having an officially endorsed ZBrush forum on CGTalk, here it is! Moderators are Meats Meier, Krishnamurti M. Costa (Antropus), Jaime Labelle (Pixologic) and Matt from Pixologic.

WOOHOO! This is awesome! Can't wait to see everyones ZBrush work! I wish this forum a very good and wonderfull journey as it becomes more and more populated! :thumbsup:

Hello!... it's a good new... hope that that part of this great forum is going to grow!... well, I post a picture done yesterday for the french forum... with the little exception of the glasses, everything is z, moddelling, texturing and render...

I want to see more implementations and use of zbrush to motivate me to learn it myself. Havent had use for extremely high poly work yet.

I'm looking forward to seeing this evolve, one of my resolutions for the year was to produce something tangible in Z Brush, this might (will) be the inspiration to get it moving.

I think this is gonna be a wondertful forum because zbrush is a giant step in cg field.

maybe,a little wip would be, for people who don't know zbrush, interesting?... I began this morning that (rather classic, I'm afraid) character: a good ole orc, or goblin... as I don't know if wip are allowed here, or if it is like in the hosted part of the forum, I just post the actual step where I am... miss some things, hands and feet of course, and so on... I join a screen capture, as zbrush procezed by layers... if ok, I'll go on the post!...

nice.. this will really help me out.. im going to start using zbrush very soon, and its handy to have all the basic good forums at one place.

well, just the finished mesh... I'm going to go to texture, I'll just post the finished picture, if I'mų happy with it!.. it has been an unusual time, for zbrush moddelling, 3 hours that morning, and 2hours now; but there was parts a bit difficult, like feet, and... well...

yestedrday, I've added to that guy a little pet... this morning, I'm adding a tail; I use the screen capture to say a little tip, very usefuil and not so practiced: when ading parts, always create the zsphere form in the scene: by that way, you're going to model parts which match perfectly the precedent elements!...

Now this is spooky!
I've just looked at zbrush for the first time (I'm a cinema 4d useron a mac) and I'm amazed.
I've just watched the 2 movies on the zbrush website all the way through (I never do that) and I was blown away.
So, what do I do then? I come to cgtalk to find out more about it and discover that the forum has just started.
I have so many questions but I'll do a bit more browsing and research before I bother any of you guys with any stupid noobie questions.
Thank you cgtalk guys for making my life easier.

This is great, I've been waiting for something like this. I'm still trying to get my head around where ZB fits into the scope of 3D apps. It's like a Photoshop on steroids, yet I'm seeing this amazing work from it.
I think I need to find me some video tuts. Anyone???

waiting for the render of the orc above, which rather long, I finish that picture; initially done with a background, and rendered in carrara3, I've never been happy with the results; I get back the tools (3d object in zbrush) and decided to redo in pure zbrush... I'm always amazed by the purity of the texture work in z... so, now, with the exception of thje reflect, everything, from modell to render, is zbrush... ps: it's a pity to have just 90 in image size, because the precisionism of a zrender is intreresting... and anyway, it would be very useful to be able to post inside his own post...? maybe I didn't find how to do, with my "tramp" english?...

The images are external of Cgtalk!
So no problem for post !
With the tags and the adress inside between!
ps So they have not the Watermark of the "Gallery" !
Pss "Attachments are images or files that veteran users on CGTalk can upload to the server. Only users that have cleared 30 posts are given this privilege !"

Finally! Zbrush deserved all the same it small part with 3Ds max, maya and Lightwave. I am happy of this idea.
