Midway Games is looking for talented and driven Real-Time Cinematic Artists to join their team. This artist will report to the Cinematics Lead and will contribute to the creation of all real-time cinematic elements within the game.
Duties:
• Ability to visualize a scene using sketches, storyboards or animatics.
• Use Midway’s proprietary tool to set up sequences and animate cameras
• Testing and Problem solving cinematic sequences
• Work closely with the other art disciplines to create dynamic cinematic sequences
• Must interact effectively with Designers and Programmers
Knowledge/Skills:
• Understanding of cinematic techniques and process
• A passion for video games and movies
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Able to sketch to better illustrate an idea
• Ability to problem solve
• Proficient in a 3D package (Max or Maya is best)
• Able to verbalize a solution to either a technical or artistic problem
• Experience in 2D art and storyboarding ability a must
• Experience in Cinematography and Editing or Camera work is recommended
