Hi all!

I need your advise people,

I am using max with CS4.2 and during animating my character polygons flickers in some frames of animation :scream: . Im using bones and Physique together and my char is skinned well (verts weights etc.)

It seems strange, like some kind of bad skin weights interpolation between keyframes:shrug: .

Does anybody know something about solving this problem?? I have also tried to save and reapply Physique again but without any change.

Maybe it should help you state of my stack of the animated object:

(view it like in Max, from Bottom to Top)

MeshSmooth
------------
Physique
------------
TurnToPoly
------------
Morpher
------------
Editable Poly
------------

Any help much appreciated, people!

Is it with motion blur?

Is it always the same frames that flicker?

Try taking out the TurnToPoly and meshsmooth and see if problem is still there.

Maybe try converting object to mesh.

Faced with a similar intermittent deformation I simply changed the pose slightly at the trouble spots or increased envelope overlap in the area.

Thx for your response!

I find out (like LS3d) that small change in pose of bone(s) and adding key in problematic frame solve this problem.

Its a bit weird because I lose track of my nicely placed keys but anyway it solves this strange behavior of Physique.
