Whoa there fella...:D I said soon so soon it is.

Trying to get a basic layout. First I roughed in these 2 after a few scribbles

Then I got a better more refined idea at work today. Just a napkin sketch so far. Going to refine into a cleaner concept next.

Construction will be mainly wood spars covered with cloth for the wings/horizontal-vertical stabilizers, metal rods for the tail booms, with lots of wires and shackles holding them in place.
Pilot controls it by pivoting the front “neck” section for pitch and ailerons for roll.

This should get me close...

Still thinking of ways to make some parts homemade (like the front fuselage part). I'm sure I can swap things out once I get modeling. C & C very welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Also If the links don't work the images are visible here (http://members.lycos.co.uk/ingram98/index.html). Sorry for ads, working on them.

Hallo everybody. Not really an update but a bump to get some feedback. As I update late usually my thread falls back rather fast.

Engine is near complete, will post update of it tonight.
Pilot is being concepted, hopefully have drawings of him/her tonight as well.

C&C welcomed and appreciated.

Hey there! I like your concept , especially the boat upsidedown:) Nice start on model too. One thing i can't get...how the hell it could fly ? LOL keep up!

I like your sketch a lot, because it reminds me of some airplanes on a manga series called CONAN (nothing to do with the Barbarian)...it's about a kid that lives in a post apoctalyptic Earth and it was a huge success here in Portugal almost 20 years ago.

Good work!

Zardoz: Thanks, very cool sounding manga. I'll have to look that one up.

freemind77: hope it looks to fly when finished (no smiley for crossing fingers :D) Baised the canard style on a smaller and more homemade Beechcraft Starship like this one.

I will admit that the gull wing configuration inspired from a world war 2 F4U Corsair.

Updates are evading me as I try to move into a new house and work on this challenge. There's always the weekend  hehehe.
