View Full Version : motion blur with mental ray for maya

is there a way with mrfm to get motion blur on a per-object basis, like with the maya software renderer..? i've tried unchecking the "motion-blur" flag on the shape node, but it has no effect in MR, which blurs the whole scene. i'm thinking there must be something really simple i'm missing because i can't think why the developers would leave out such a basic flag...

rendering in layers is not an option for this sequence because of the way i'm compositing other passes. any help greatly appreciated.
