I'm going to freestyle as well, I find that its better just too keep adding random stuff. makes it less pradictable (sp?). Wots going on with the spoons on the propeller? How long did you have maya non-legal?

im changing the spoons...they'll still be spoons..just...different..and i haven't had maya non-legal at all...im using all household items...ALL of it..so...it could get funky...

Is the main bit ment to be a tooth-paste tube then? (or some other kind of tube... maybe tomato paste?)

OZ- :bounce: yay the thumbs up!haha..yes i wanted to go strictly household items..i think i might try to throw a character in there..after i finish the cockpit and a few other modifications...

Nifty stuff..like the size of it and what bits you're using..those cookies are gonna wear out quick tho :)
Only strictly 'construction' crits I can think of are that those spoons would be awful tiny if that's a toothpaste tube, and also there's nothing holding the erasers to the body of the tube..
other than that, fun stuff, keep it rolling

hypercube..:wip: good observations!i have taken them in to account but those spoons are special ;) and will be fixed...and the pencils are under construction...they are however held on at the erasers by tacks...but they will have other support!!!!!i promise!:airguitar

Hey there WiltedEnds,
No, it's not bad, I think it's quite good. However, at the moment the shadows are way to harsh. Perhaps decreasing the density of the shadow might solve this small problem, or, create more dim lights in other areas of the pic (one on the bottom of the plane). Otherwise, it's shaping up well!! and to think you still have a whole two weeks left to play around with it:)

thanks pupil...i will take the shadows in to consideration when i start truly lighting it...in the next 30 minutes lol...ive added a few textures because im using it for a school final...im trying to become a good texturer but..its hard :hmm: ...anyways...im not nearly finished with the body..or the wing material...or the controls...its all being worked on as i type.
interesting model!!
I like the spoon textures but i think for the rest you have too many colors going on....
good job and keep practicing...
if you in school then make sure to take as many art classes as you can...
get some color theory experience..!!!
keep going your doing good!!

road-thank you..but im not sure what you mean by too many colors?the concept of the model was supposed to be household objects...so im trying to keep it in the mindstate that a young kid created it...the texturing has a ways to go yet..but im interested in finding out what you mean...thank you

WiltedEnds, i agree with the fact that you model is too colored... the untextured and uncolored model is better.... Your model is great, but those colors bring stranger to the model..
keep your good work!!!:bounce:
if you use colors that are similar with some contrasting colors thrown in then you would get a more unified piece of art...

Hey really home made...i think it's cool thinking to make a vessel like this one..
Now .. ithink u should listen to Apt Pupil about the your lights and if it is possible just post a pic with your model with just one shaders or two(white grey and white)just to let us see your detail...so :wip: :wip:

i just discovered this thread, it's GREAT wiltedends, i love the idea and the way you modeled everything, the spoons look beautiful with the texture on them, as does everything else
imo you only need to fix those colours, desaturate everything a bit, especially the pink and green areas
cool
