Is it possible to write a custom shader that will blur any (not just textures/images) input?
I can already imagine that such a shader could be quite slow, but how slow? I often find myself wanting to blur stuff in the rendertree, sometimes you can do it in post, but as you know a post blur (unless you blur the source texture) will only work in screen space and not in 3D space like a shader would.
hope some shader writing guru can help :)
