Cool, he's looking like a creepy fellow. I say push it a little bit further though! Maybe make the skin around his eyes dark, slight purplish bags under his eyes and maybe some slight veins showing up thru the skin, chapped lips, ect... Don't know the story you're working on, but not very dramatic lighting yet? I'm also not real wild about the dof you've got going on, but that's just an artistic opinion. Might want to try toning it down just a tad though?

Also, I'd work a little more on the bump maps and spec maps:p Right now the bump maps, especially on the chin stubble are to deep and wide and I'm not seeing to much variation in shinyness. any spec maps being used?
Its funny, I have seen similar works around the boards and never realized it was done by the same person, meaning you have your own style from the rest which is very great! Your modeling texturing and lighting skills are great, ide love to see one of your models animate though, that would be perfecto! So far looking good, as always, I feel a piece in never completed until its just been beeting to death, and you move onto the next.. Great work!

Hey it's coming along very nicely. I am kind of bothered by the left eye though. There is a distracting shadow on the eyebrow and it looks like there is a slight hole around the eyes. But that's just a few verts to push, so no big deal.
Very nice atmosphere altogether. Great work.

that skin looks excellent. kinda sweaty, but I think it fits.
the eys are a bit TOO shiny imho. and that hair....sheesh the hair. that's the only thing that is way WAY off. the eyebrows too...it's just not...ehm...hairy :)
otherwise, about 10 THOUSAND times better then anything I ever made :D

the texture in the nostrils need work...and if you useing shag hair then go into the thickness prefrences and lower the thickness at the tips of the hair.
these things would turn your excelent model into something just a little better...(*this one goes to 11*)

I agree, it's excellent work, I have to agree that the hair could do with some work though.. and the eyebrows. They would probably not be disturbing on another model, but as this one is textured more or less perfectly, they kind of take down the overall impression..
Good work!

Very nice improvements! Looks really, really creepy now! Not someone you want knocking on your door at 2 in the morning! Hehe.. From the side view, XCU there’s some stretching going on in the nose text map, but I wouldn’t worry about it unless you’re going to use this shot for a long duration of time. You already know the hair could use some more work, depending on your anim, so I won’t go into it. Out of curiosity though, what technique are you using? Maybe then we could give you some advise to try? Depending on the story of this character, who he is and how he gets hurt, I think the damaged pict needs a lot more blood and gore! There would definitely be a lot poring out down his face and I imagine squirting out all over! Hehe.. fun stuff, can’t wait to see more of your work?! Do you have website?

hi,
cool character (as usual, I guess :p ). I really like your insistance on body hair for your models. I think that's one of the things that really gives your work distinction and realism. I mean, that little wisp above his ear - who thinks about that? :applause:
Also love the texturing and lighting. Any chance for some tips or a tutorial hint hint
BTW saw you were planning an animation. Is there a Dr. Jekyll in the works? I would love to see a monstrous morph on this guy.
