Hello,

maya user largely - for work; I have to use 3dsmax; use both brazil and vray to render - now... I tried to get a standard object/mat to become reflective in scanline. Now... how do you do this?? Can someone show me a mat file? Is it linked to mapping raytrace/mirror to the reflection slot? If so :O :faceshock:

Hello BigGreen,

For a basic reflection just open the material editor, expand the maps rollout, click on the reflection slot and choose raytrace. Use the spinner to control how much reflection you want.

Could be a different ball game if your using vray and brazil tho.

Thanks

You can do the same thing in Brazil but it is preferred to use Brazils' own Chrome Material.
