Well, haven't been able to participate since the Gods/Demons challenge, but I'm going to pitch in an effort for this one.
Here is a quick sketch I did today on my lunch break.

My idea is the kind of aircraft that could be made if you were stranded on a tropical island. The frame is going to be bamboo, with sailing canvas stretched over to make wings. The control is going to be similar to a hang glider, except that instead of moving the body to turn (in a harness) with the handles being stationary, the body is going to be stationary and the handles are going to pivot to pitch the entire wing up and down. Thus, the entire wing is a control surface, and will probably only need small movements to cause the aircraft to bank and turn.
Not sure if I want to add a pedal power feature with it... I sorta like the glider aspect. :shrug:
