That is a shame. But I do remember that developement was always slow with Deep Paint, and I never got it to work well with 3dsmax. BodyPaint was better in several aspects but then again it was hard to get to work with max as well.

A shame that they didn't improve it more I think

i'm not sure if you mean they discontinuued DP3D for max or the program itself, but
i just checked their anouncement forums on their site and in the press release pdf for thier patch update of 2.2 release they did not put max 6 or max 7 on that list.

if anyone know if he meant they are discontnuing the program DP3D [which i doubt since they even have a linux version in the works for V3] or if it's the max plugin they stop supporting, or if this even true and they simply forgot to put max6 on their list for 2.2 update, please clarify.

There's a post on the maya forum that suggests that development of the program is being discontinued altogether. Apparently that came from the owner of Right Hemisphere.
