Lauren Milan,

In November 2002 I will graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Master of Fine Art Degree in Computer Animation. I have only to finish my thesis, which I am currently working on from my home here in NH. I also have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Plymouth State College.

It was indicated to me that you were looking for an artist that is skilled with Maya. I feel that my educational and work experiences would fulfill those needs.

I have an extensive fine art background combined with years of experience with a large variety of design, business, and computer animation software. I have also served in the NH Army National Guard and the United States Navy where I have been able to hold leadership positions and understand the importance of self -discipline, efficiency, and attention to detail.

A resume and a digital portfolio of my work is available at www.rit.edu/~der0750
All the 3D work displayed on the site was done using Maya Unlimited. Although I currently reside in NH, I am willing to relocate to almost anywhere on the planet. I hope hear from you soon to discuss how my education and experience would be consitent with your needs

Sincerely,

D. Rogers

I too am a current VFS Maya graduate... and I took a Maya course in Toronto as well. I'm interested in going to Seattle as I am a dual citizen... and I get my SS number in a couple of weeks.

You can check out my work at http://vfs.com/~m08james

Thanks,

James

Lauren,

I have been working in 3D for the last 5 years, creating high-poly pre-rendered and low-poly runtime models and animations for the game industry. The most recently shipped titles I've worked on are "Shrek Gameland Activity Center" for ActiVision and TDK, for which I created pre-rendered intro and game movies, and "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" for The Learning Co., for which I created pre-rendered 3D backgrounds. I was involved extensively in the design and implementation of the animations and 3D art created for these projects, serving as a senior 3D artist and working closely with the art director and producer. My speed and efficiency as an artist were vital in getting these projects, and many others, out the door on time and on budget. My online portfolio can be found at:

http://www.aaronsutherland.com/

All modeling, rigging, textures, lighting, camera and animation on the 3D reel were done by myself. The software packages used were Maya, Softimage, Extreme 3D, Electric Image, Photoshop and Goo.

Presently living in Portland, I am willing and able to relocate. I will be in Seattle on Friday, Sept. 27 for another interview, should you choose to fit me in then.

Thanks.
