LOL
the austrian army logo is really funny :-)
very cool pic
no crits from me
maybe one:
the design of the ship/submarine is a air or vacuum design not a underwater one
its not streamlined enough
but thats a different story
AND you never know what they´re gonna invent in the future
looks very cool ,VERY nice style http://cgtalk.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

This piranha rendering is superb, however, I would love to see how you acheived such great results with a post breakdown of your conceptual ideas and artwork.

Expertly rendered, amoe, and a clever concept. This is my favourite from you yet! The mechanical detail is awesome. There's a very slight perspective issue between the cockpit and the top fin intake of the right piranha sub, but it's scarcely noticable.
beautiful painting!! any chance to post some WIP imgaes up? :D

Hey man ! this is a very good painting you made ! :)
But still there's something that bug me just a little, you have a little perspective problem on the right Piranha Sub. The 2 reactors (kind of) are in a perspective that shows the sub arriving from a different way then what the rest of the sub shows like a 20 degrees difference. It's a optical illusion.
Maybe in making these reactors narrower would resolve the problem ;)
Keep it up man ! You have a Kick Ass Pen Slash !! :)

thanx alot guy i am glad you like the design.
nudelsalat: wien 6.
evil pumpkin: for the ship texture i used my standard custom brush. actually i made that brush for leather strukture in the capt.flushgarden painting. for the bubbles i ve used a 3 different bubble custum brushes. they are pure gold ;)
splintah: hehehe thats true. first i wanted to paint 2 spaceships but arcipello had the idea to put them under water. http://members.chello.at/armin.stocker/my%20art/spacefish.jpg
moonshine: next time ;) i forgot to save the steps.
wigal: lorko is allready on it it. the first few screenshots of the model allready kick ass

I think that vehicles are my favorite objects to see done in art. And I love underwater themes and submarines, especially within science fiction or fantasy realms.
This is very cool, and very nicely done.

Looks great, i have to ask though...if you dont mind to much, how do you go about creating that great looking metal texture for the sub. I just think it looks awesome :D

I really love the design, any chance of a front and side view of the sub, maybe so someone could model it in 3D?
Looks great!

How did you achieve the sense of motion? A motion blur filter? However you did it, it's simple titanic. (Bad Joke) keep up the work!
