Do to improve it? It's the lighting mainly.
Okay, here you go: make the alien(?) clearer. It's hard to see now. If he's supposed to be a lightsource (wich might be a good idea if not), put some darker clouds behind him. That would fit with the lighting of the bag too. The shadow of the umbrella is in the wrong place compared with the bag. And for the pic as a whole; try to define your shadows a bit better. Drawing shadows is following the rules of logic, so it can just be learned, just like knowing perspective it has nothing to do with talent for drawing (wich you have ;) ). Try to get a good book on it, your work will improve immensely.
If I sound arrogant I appologize. Not meaning to sound like that whatsoever :)
Good luck and keep posting, jeroentje

Thanks, jeroentje. No worries, your comments are welcome always, even bad ones. You didn't sound arrogant at all. You just sound like somebody who frustrated by a person (me) who has trouble getting it right. Thanks! I'll improve on the shadows. The little guy is supposed to be ephemeral, a spirit almost. So I'll work on the clouds surrounding him too.
