Is there a way to generate lightmaps with Mental Ray with 3ds max 6.0?

what I read is that there are no maps tu use (built in) the MAX 6 version, I mean you have to get them from a third party or maybe write your own shaders...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm starting to think it's not possible. I know VRAY can create lightmaps but so far it's seem like a deadend with tryting to get Mental Ray in 3dsmax to output lightmaps.

I'm starting to think it's not possible..lightmaps are supported from mentalray3.x.. but there're not build.in lightmaps shaders for max you have to write your own.. with max7 the SSS will be stored in a lightmap.
