Hello all, this is my first time posting! =)

Here is an orc character I've been working on in Maya. I'm really looking for any opinions or critiques you might have. Although I'm done with him for the most part, I am willing and eager to make any suggested changes or touch-ups. =)

anyway really nice model, the texture is nice...a little to specular...looks plastic,

could we see some wire?

I like it, its a nice deviation from the usual orc.
the hips could use a little bulking out but other than that::thumbsup:

Yes very nice work on this, its a nice detailed model I would agree with the previous comment about the specularity of the skin, also the head looks a little large in comparison to his hands and feet although I don't know if this is normal for Orcs.

Thank you guys for the replies! It's very much appreciated. 8)

Funxer - Hmmm... you're completely right about the skin. My idea was to make it look a little slimey, but I don't think I pulled it off and it did just come out like plastic. I think I'll keep messing with it, and if I can't seem to improve it I'll just make it look like normal skin.

I'll be glad to have some wires up a little later, I'm heading out in a little bit to go buy Pikmin 2. ;)

Jerre - Okay, good idea =) And an easy fix.

Frank Dodd - To be honest, I was trying to keep him in normal proportions... but it is a good excuse to just say "Duh, orcs don't have human proportions!!" ;) However I do think you're right and the head appears a little large... but it might be because I made him slouch forward a little bit... he's also intentionally very skinny. I think I might go in and enlarge the hands and feet to even things out.. hmm... I'll mess with it and see.

Thanks again guys! Please feel free to add anything you think of. =)
