Edit. Sorry for being blunt. What i mean is, are they any tutorials that i could use for basic modeling of characters. I'm still trying it with poly modeling but not too sure as to how to get the proportions and stuff right. I'll try and get some refrences to help me out.

From what i understood those are the reference images you want to model right?
If so, It doesnt seem that hard.
For the first "thingy" i would start with a box and then convert it to an editable poly. I would extrude the arms and legs. Then With a separate geometry i would create a cilinder, , convert it also do poly and then extrude it in in the cap area. Bevel it a bit, and then another extrude(i dont understand if it has a hole in the middle of the cap tough). Then attach the little body, weld the vertexes, & voila!

The others seem a bit more complex , but nothing a extrude along spline and boolean compound cant solve. If u get the 1st one right, youŽll probably get the others fine.

On the other hand, if those are the ones u already modeled, uŽre on the right way.
