OK i did a ruff start so far...and ill try to explain what I have in mind for this lil project..

OK what I'm aiming for is a flappin plane powerd by two beings. and it will have a pilot and a navigator :) in the pic u can see the two openings on the side there, well thats where the guys are gunna be standin on a big peddel, its gunna look like a big bicylce crank :) and thus having a T base gear leading to the flapping crank mechenasim..that leads to the flaping wings.. thus giving it a up and down motion. :) ill post again soon :)

Hmmm... i know it's early stages MDB101, but the contraption looks a little unhomemade (is that a word?).

I guess we'll see where it's going! I like the idea of the two people cranking the contraption together. Teamwork!!:D

Hello guys :) and uh ladies :) Today I created the crank for the flapping wing mech. uh its still at an eary stage so ill post again in time :) this piece goes on the bottem and the pedels there are for the beings to stand on..ill make staps there too for there feet :) ill be back/.

Like this, that mechanism can't work...no way...if you let it like this, you will have to change the middle part of that wing-mech...

what I mean exactly: like this, the wings can't turn around the z-axis, what they have to...you can easily solve that problem with cog-wheels in the middle part of that mechanism...

Just my two cents...

sorry for being slow, its my life its kinda busy. I did little to the project, however ill pick it up soon tommow casue I have a lot of free time to burn. This ornithopter will be completed soon for more information on ornithopter go to this website I found nice resources on flapping plnes :) Ill post more tommorw..

Uh I will have to exclude myslef from the challenge.. I would like to continue but I just can't think straight for a while. I dont know why im gunna tell you this but I just found out my mom has cancer, and the doctors says she has like 9 months to live.. which I think its bullshit because Im pretty sure its preventable, I hope.. anyways good luck to you all :) Im really happy seeing your progres which is my movite to expand in 3d arts... take care.
