He nice work.
I love vector. Is this flash, or a vectorized scan?

Put the pics in as a URL instead of an IMG.
It links directly to the page that way.

sorry for the link problem, i always have problems with geocities. i need to get a site of my own one of these days. but umm, these are done in photoshop, basically vectorized type coloring....simply selecting areas and filling in. always liked the minimal look so i stuck with it.
Oh HEY! Those are pretty cool! Definately worth the trouble of copy and pasting the URL. I think you could make some pretty good 3D models out of those. I can see Burt & Bill as the classic Elmer & Daffy type of characters.
My only critique would be the antenna on top of Bill's head. I'd shorten those up and maybe make them more feather-like. Also, is there a reason why he has sneakers on? They look good ... but it points me to the fact that he's a naked duck. If you're going to dress him, maybe a shirt or shorts to complete the outfit?

my final concept of my duck character was that he was naked.....i just loved the idea of a featherless duck. but i ran into a million problems....how do i do the hands....birds dont have fingers, and i like how i used the feathers as the fingers for him.....so i kinda ended up with him being half naked so i can keep the feathers on his wings (its still sorta kinda undecided).....thats what my 3d animation is goin to be how he gets half naked....
(as for how he gets half naked i dont want to explain it all....ill just say he has an encounter with a lawnmower)
but i was thinking about putting clothes on bill at one point but i just left him without any clothes...the shoes i just like.
would it be better if i gave him a shirt or something???
ill post up some of my concept sketches once i get them scanned in...

Ehm... there is a really funny comic series here in the Netherlands. It is called Fokke & Sukke and has a duck and a chicken in it ( www.foksuk.nl but I am warning you; it is in Dutch and contains explicit material). You could check it out to see how others have dealed with that problem.
Nice sketches BTW.
Cheers, jeroentje
