anyone know how to import an .igs file??? Says it will do it but does not recognise the file type.

I don't think so. does it come with the Install CD? or do I have to download it somewhere.

are you using Maya 6? if yes, go to the Plug-in Manager, and check the iges load and autoload box, then you can import the iges files:thumbsup:
Im not sure about Maya 5?!

this may sound pretty silly but last time I imported an .igs file I had to rename it .iges before it would work. Don't ask me why this happened, it really shouldn't have made a difference but it did.
