slouchcorp 08-06-2002, 03:12 PM Can anyone who manages to get bones to work please have a quick look at my charactor, file at....

iv been asked to do some charactor animation Arggggg (if only v8 was here now :-)
Problem is iv never done it befor so as you can guess im a bit stumped as to what to do to get these pesky bones to work.
its a far cry from the usual flying logos i do.
anyway any help would be a god send.

My imediate reaction would be that the vertex weighting for the feet and arms is not set to 100%, there fore the bones can't do their job..also no all the bones are resticted to vertex maps so are doing weird things to the rest of the mesh......
I'm not a CA type person so I may be wrong!

The link above will hopefully be of some use to you, I've only done the legs but they move pretty well. All I did was use polygon restrictions instead of weightmaps, it seems to work better. :)

To kiwi: if you choose save target as, the link should work for you. :)

well iv got him working thanks to Phasmatis i copied waht you did on the legs for the rest seams to work quite well, now i see problems with the mesh so im goint tp redo a lot of it and re rigg him. anyway heres a quick render posed textutres are only a rough guide if we get the job ill get shave to do the fur (fingers crossed)
