CGTalk - What am I missing

Hey,

Sorry...Actually trying to learn MR past the final gather, and I am trying to do this tutorial:

I know it's older, but basically, I get to the GI point, and turn on photons in the light, and GI in the globals, and I get no change in anything. Everything in shadow is just the same.

Is there another button I'm missing here?

did you turn on final gather in the render globals? hope this doesnt sound too silly, but the stupidest things can trip you up sometimes.

Try turning up the energy levels, 10x or 100x, sometimes the results are too dim to see.

Hey,

Yeah, I had final gather on. I thought I had tried pumping the energy too. I just don't know.

Know any other good beginner tutorials?
