CGTalk - extrusion with script????

I want to make a scripted extrusion but i can't.... I guess it goes like that but don't really know...

For example:
selectobj "sphere.poly[10]"
extrudecompaxis 10

I really don't know....
Can anyone help?

This is how to do it, copied from xsi's script log..

ApplyTopoOp "ExtrudeComponentAxis", "sphere.poly[10]", siUnspecified, siPersistentOperation
SetValue "sphere.polymsh.extrudecompaxisop.length", 10

thanks a lot ray... it worked fine.... I was stupid not to think of te old copy paste solution but it is because i was concentating on the sccript wayyyyyyy too much that i never even touched the layout.... thanks again...
