Hi guys,
this is a character from a webgame i am currently working on
the character counts 1000 polygons
We didnt use any textures so the game could be as small as possible

I think it looks great for its suppose, and the game too! How many poly is the gun?

I found the game on the website and played it.....

and its FREAKIN HARD!!
I couldnt do much cause the gun aim was inverted..but I did manage to get around one corner and there was like 10 guys shottin me..

pretty good start with the characters and set, but it does seem a little too low poly for the stuff nowadays..maybe thats your intention so most people can play it.

good work so far..would like to see some weapon models:D

I think you can remove the detail on the weapon magazine, noone will see it.

rely nice game:) defently one of the best web-games i plyed.

But pleas, make the inverted mouse lock disapear..

and that last battle, I think it is the last, wnhen you fight the guy in the limo, is way to dificult compeard to the rest of the game :/

and ther are som bugs to, most anoying are the one wher enimys can shot at you even if they dont can se you

nope. still just getting the scoreboard. maybe this doesn't support Mac OS9.2.2 w/ IE5.1...

Thanks a lot for all the replies! :)

The characters and other game models are indeed a little too low poly comparing to nowaday standards, but this was indeed intentional so it could run as fast as possible and at most systems. We didn't exactly succeed, because you'll need a fast system to play it smoothly.

The gun is about 400 pollies (not sure,..) and I created too much detail for it, but at first we thought would be used in the cutscenes (close-up) as well. I'll post some more screens when I am back at home.

The game is currently in its first public release and we're gathering all feedback to tweak settings and remove bugs. We really appreciate your feedback on it and we're definitely taking it with us when finishing the game!
I am not sure if it supports Mac OS. Need to check with the programmer...

interesting start, but the game has some serious problems, probably not a good idea to show it yet. The main character's upper body rotates through itself twisting and twisting, the bad guys all have their arms at the sides unable to defend themselves! I've used virtools and you could do a lot more with the textures to make up for the very low poly scenes.

Whats the system you're running it on?
The game runs perfectly over here and on a lot(!) of other systems we tested it on. We're aware of some bugs but these are rather strange. Any more detail on them?

About the textures...
We're not going to use any for making up detail. We choose this rather bland and shaded look and we think it works perfectly for this online game. We know about the lowpoly look, but this was intentional. And it's not that lowpoly, there's a fair share of detail in the world, and we can't have 20 characters running around each counting 2k-3k polygons. The game already needs a fairly fast system.
The world gets more interesting if you switch on the world details with "o".

We're currently finishing the game. Adding new sounds, FX and tweak all settings. Ofcourse remove som bugs as well :) because there are plenty left... :sad:

I can't play the game either. Im on IE 6 with DirectX 9.0 and geforce fx 5100. Is it a java game? When I hit play, it just takes me to the same high score screen.

I tried registering and now I have a login, but even when I login I get the same high score screen when I hit play.
