Hi,
i'm new to spline modelling and i've read a few tutorials posted in this tutorial but i still have problems...i have a few questions to ask...do i use line spline or nurms?whenever i use line ,i can't seem to extrude the points...and how do i pull the points?..hope you can help...thanks very much..

Hi,
keep on working with spline, then convert them to poly (NURMS) and benefit from poly tools to complete your model, you don't have to choose one and forget the other. Make the body of your model (let say a sofa leg) using circles of various dimensions one on the top of the other, move the vertices to achieve the desired form then apply cross-section and surface , at the end you can convert to poly and start working with subdivision options.

I don't understand what you mean by 'extruding vertices'...
