Title: Subaru Impreza Rally Car
Name: Eric Holmes
Country: Usa
Software: 3ds Max, Photoshop

This is a project that i've been working on for a trailer for a new racing game that's being developed. I spent approximately 1 week working on this project and since i'm in high school and not working at the moment, and it's summer time (;-)) 1 week was probably more like 2 weeks because i worked on it almost non stop everyday. Anyways, let me know what you think of it.

all the textures were made in photoshop.
Rendered with Brazil r/s.
rendering time = 35 minutes
poly count = somewhere around 100,000 before mesh smooth

C&C appreciated

Surely a nice modeling job, but I think the material is a little too matte (At least on the hood).....some specularity and maybe some HDRI reflections would help.

May I inquire.........What game is this for?

Isn,t bad, but I think the texture of the car it,s too plastic and the dirty map only are presente on the middle of the car and isn.t in the front or rear. I don,t see the glass in the front lights, and, yes, an hdri map can help you.

Good work overall.

I might be picky but I think the headlamp and hood scoop could be a bit larger

Ja3d/TheArrow: There is an HDRI map applied to the environment.

TheArrow: The game doesn't have a name yet, but it's being produced right now under the GPL license and will probably be out in a few years give or take some.

modelling looks top notch! well done! but the shader needs some work IMO. The car has a matte plastic look, this is empasized by the specualr highlites not being nearly sharp enough (i.e. around the headlight). And you say there is a HDRI map, but Im sorry, I dont see it. Maybe make it more obvious I guess. And it looks like there are no windows or headlite covers, even though there probably are, they arent reflecting anything so u cant really tell.

great start though, and quite an accomplishment for 1 week.
