Howdy,
i'm a n00bie to 3d studio max.
i can make abstract (pretty easy cause it's mainly random)... shape > noise > parameters > render ! :D
but i CAN"T model. I've seen tutorials and i just kinda suck.
I REALLY wanna model a BMW M3. I can set up my viewports and models to be able to see the top side front and back, but the techniques i've seen for modeling cars have all been kinda weird and sloppy.
Can anyone help me? I need a really round way to model, and a pretty simple tutorial. I can make a bottle, lathe, and all that easy crap, but the REAL modeling i can't do.

Thanks to all of you in advance.

Hi Rocket, I'll jump in an say it kindly before the hard-asses jump in!

Any board you go to - read the Faq (Frequently asked questions)

Use the search facility - Car tutorial. I did and I found 27 results.

If you're new read the sub d theoretical thread. A lot of people have learned more from those 50 odd pages than they did in 3 years on their own!

If you are new don't reach too high - a car is dfficult, try something simpler like a stereo or a tv.

anyway stick at it. Try something once, then again and by the third time you will see such an improvement.

Cheers
