You got a character even though itīs a machine/vehicle. Naughty boy. Looks nice, reminds me somewhat of the film Laputa from Ghibli.

Those are some interesting designs! The robot isn't exactly a flying device but if you put on something that would allow it to fly it's cool!

Hmm, yeah, really dig the robot and steampunk style, reminds me of "A Tale Of Two Robots" from Robot Carnival. But I agree it seems a little off for this..maybe if it's a transformer? :D

Well,after taking some tomatos and stinky egga in face 4 my robot concept (KIDDINAAAA;) he he he...u know!u are all right)
I draw a lot past night (i work on chalenges by night...as a lot of u i think hu?)....So,the matter was that robots dont fit the topics,but i love steampunk robot machines!Then i tried to make the robot evolve in to an air robot machine....so,this is the result.....hope u find it interesting..............evolutio,evolution:p

i agree with you OZ its impossible to match everyones taste, too much diversity, i like the jetpack, the character has a nice atmosphere:beer:, if he leans his head back when the jetpacks things are on then his head well get pretty "shaved":p

Heh, the last one is cool. He must be a pretty strong old guy if he could carry that weight on his back. :D He reminds a bit of a smaller more compact version of the Red Baron this way. :rolleyes:

And he can build, whatever he is scribbeling in his very own style...GREAT...

I wouldnt want to see you not finish, plus, the earlier you start, the more detail you'll get. If you want us to pick one of your ideas, I say use a piece of each picture you drew and create something we havent seen yet, somtimes the greatest creative minds start with nothing, and create a masterpiece! I know know your skill! so lets see the models..... Muuuhahhahahah

With the rocket guy the focus is more directed to the guy then the rocket (the flying contraption), and with the other guy the focus is more on the "jetpack" on his back. Anyway you still have to decide. ;)

...so I think, the biggest problem of OZ is always the decision, which one of all these ideas he shall take at the end...because there is no crap under all these scene-scribbles, you could use every single of these...the richer the choice, the more difficult the decision, isn't it?

He is not bad, but not the same like the man on your scribble, I liked that on the scribble more than this, he looked much more 'fanatic/crazy/frenzy', and a man riding such a rocket has to be like this, no?

Nice. Detail nitpicking, I think you should alter the strap under his chin. Either make the leather strap go from one ear to the other and there attach it with a snap button. Or make one of those that is one every helmet, black little plastic thing where the chin fits.
Or just have those straps from the ears hang loose.
I really like the raytrace effect on his googles.

Hi OZ.............Well as usual you have soooooo many excellent concepts, all are winners. While I think your model.......BALBO VANCASTER and JETPACK BARON are top notch, full of fun and detail and very nice to look at, I still like the idea of the steam-punk creation with the little guy up top the best.
Can I make a suggestion?............Create the steam-punk character with Balbo and the Baron all working together.......I know it's alot, but you are already far along with your work, and you have time. You are very talented and I know you can get the job done. Now that's the best of all Worlds, the Baron,Balbo,and the Steam-punk character.................I know you love Steam-punk as much as I do, so you will love to do it, I hope you have time and will do it, it would be something very speacial.......;) :)

Great little guy. I love his little stomach, so nice. Ahum, Ahum his genitalia is awfully small. Enlarge or take away completly. You decide ;). Love the excess fabric on his gloves, that extra bit sure did add a lot. Will be interesting seeing your steam-punk character evolve.

OZ..................Looking good. With a little more detailing the wings will be very nice. I really like the attachments or the hub for the wings, nice details. As for the wings the only crit would be that you should change the look or texture of the canvas of the wings. In other words change the pattern of the canvas for each wing, Re-arrange the holes so they are different from one another.

Nice parts, although I can't make a good idea of what will it be in the end. It seems to be coming togheter pretty well! Also, as Erilaz mentionned, I also really like the way you present your WIP, reminds me of some plans and images in the game "Lighthouse" whre you had to repair a home made flying machine :)

Hi there Oz, as always, I was just passing by admirering your creations. However, this time I have a critique:) Even though I know you are always changing colors and rendering styles, this last render you showed us seems a bit odd. I find I have a hard time distinguishing the back propellers as being in the 'back.' Since they are white, they look like they are in front of the ship, even though they are not. Otherwise, great work as always, I am 'really' looking forward to seeing where you take this flying ship next!!:thumbsup:

Even in a depressed looking state the Baron looks great.............I like his posture, well done. I hope we all will still get to see the Baron and Steampunk someday................They should live on.I really woul;d like to see them with your vessel flying high in the sky over Tuscanny perhaps..............;) :)
OZ.............I too could not get into this last challenge due to my private project, but you still were able to get out a lot of very nice and funny work, bravo to you.:applause:
