CGTalk - Cover 4 Comicbook

This is my first attemp to draw a cover 4 a comic book.The comic is very dark and bloody,so i tryed to capture the dramatic feeling of the story (revenge on some sort of demons..) the main character closeup in the background is the HATE icon of the image,and the same caracter in front low is more dynamic,to show the action oriented situations of the comic.

Hey OZ!

Well I like the style and the way you put action in it but I spotted some flaws...
First the blue really contrasts with the red and yellow, so much that the whole composition is getting turned upside down. Try to use a bit more colours that not contrast that much, xcept if you it to!;) It's also a bit of a waste not to colour the main character, if you would do that he would jump out more and he will be more the point of attraction. If you would colour him more detailed it would look great. I'm willing to help you...!!!

I think with a bit more attention to the details it would be a perfect cover!!!:thumbsup:

I don't know -OZ- i like it. It's got a classic manga feel to it. Don't colour the guy in he looks fine. If anything I'd saturate the demon in the back a little more. Amelie was really saturated and it looked good. Maybe you could highlight areas on the good guy more?

uMH.....OK....bUT.The image looks poor of graphic contents.......feels like i put a lot of color to hide the emptyness.
Do u feel the same?
Ps:Is 4 a manga like comic.

If anything -OZ-, you should fool around with the design and not the images. Here is a copy of Akira no.11 and it is a pretty basic image (although powerful) and basic design. but I think it looks great. Japanese know design! Change the design.

Ps:The image is 4 the first issue,so,i need something that " first time present" the character,and show much as possible the fact that hide a second nature (demoniac) and fights 4 revenge.............................:eek: Oh my gosh!!!

That does look better. But I think you should get rid of the drop shadow that you've got behind black rage. I like the monochromatic scale. Nice Start. Is this your own comic? Or are you just doing the cover?

Ohhh yeah!!

That's more like it OZ!!!
The composition is much better now, also the colors on the border make you focus on the center. I like the pose, but maybe you could give a subtile hint to the character, background, or props about what the comic is about....(just little bit no big clues!)
I think you're doing fine! And I would like to know if this is for a reall comic that you are making or just for fun... cause it looks interresting.

Great idea, I like the idea of a comic page...!!!
I used to do comics a couple of years ago, and I'm now planning to start with one again, just to recover my pencilling skills:D

Really -OZ-? You got a comic site? I've got a lot of ideas fro comics and I've even got 15 page stories here and there. I'd love to post stuff if you got room. That'd be awesome. if you want you can email me or just post the link here. I'll be watching.
