View Full Version : Nvidia's Cg
MosaFacku 08-06-2002, 02:06 AM I don't remember if anyone here has really talked about it, but what do you guys think of Nvidia's Cg shading language? Do you guys in the industry think that it will be adopted with open arms? Do you think it will open up new jobs for artists that know shading languages? Any and all opinions would be cool. Thanks.

i work at the kinkos that prints the books for Nvidia CG.. side note the fruity man responsible for having the books printed and handing them out to people he works for etc... makes us dust the dam covers and backs.. i took a look through it. i'm a very technical savy artists, more than average, and even though i didn't look through the book much, it looked very complicated.
i dont know exactly what is up with it but so far i'm taking no interest. looked like hardcore programming shtuff.

well, i believe i am one of those lucky saps who got one of your books. nvidia offered a workshop on cg at siggraph and they gave out cg manuals and shirts. ;)
