sweet dawgie this looks nice..
maybe a small tip:
Make the exhaustpipes at the side a bit bigger so u could make some gnarly flames and smoke come blazing out the side..

yea, kewl idea with the big propeller!
but don't the landingGear have to be _very_ big now when the propeller is? elseway the propeller will get smacked into the ground when trying to land.. well, I'll guess I'll have to wait and see what you have in mind :)
hope you'll finish the other stuff you're doing soon to so we can see more updates from you,
I really like this entry as you know :)
I agree with fellah for the landing gear; but other than that it Rocks!:airguitar

another view i figured instead of one big propeller, a bunch of little turbines, spun by the huve v-8, altho less realitstic, i didn't want to go with a jet engine, so if this isn't enough power, ill add tubines later, i also have to stap the turbines to the car:beer:

I believe this is my first post but im very curious about something. How do make those panels on ur car. Im making a 1988 Mclaren F1 car. Im poly modeling it, but i wonder how you made those panels. Maybe I can do that to add more detial to my car, which is very early progress.

i just started to work the cockpit and rear end areas, and for danny 123, i would not recomend the way i moddeled this for a realistic model, i poly-modeld this for a more cartoony look, i would probably stick with quad patches or nurbs, and make it pannel by panel from a diagram. again i polymodeld the main body by regular extrusions, scaling, and cutting up polys, then just add the detail, anyway i hope your all digging this,
throw me some feedback

really good model! it actually looks much better without the propeller imo.. the last render looks.. hm.. weird though.. although it's nice.. but it looks.. you know? :)
I prefer the renderStyle of the first 3 renders on the previous page..
anyway it's the model that's the important thing, and it's one of my preferers in this challenge, kickass!
take care

eagle, i drew a little diagram for you. i just use this technique to show off detail, and give it some style for this comp. just render two passes and mess with the layer opacity and overlay modes.
i forgot about landing gear, ill probably spread the wheel base out aliitle more but just thought i would update

Hey rizob!..I never noticed you were a digital fetus, cheers to that :) Your machine is looking really great. I actually liked the propeler idea but those turbines will work just as well. My only crit at the moment would be the landing gear. It looks off balance, maybe bring the front wheels closer to the front. Other than that this is looking really nice. Waiting for an update!! Have you plans for a cool cat to drive this thing??

i jst thought i would try some flashy reflections, i want two make rusty metal but the no texure rule (might anyway), fetus23:you are right about the landing gear, i think it would be coolto make it a lowrider so ill probably do is angle them out and forward,
holy **** those latest renders are neat; great style rizob.

For sure. GI is nice as long as you tweak it. There is no Get->>Primitive->>AmazingAssLightingRig feature yet in 3d software. I would hate to see a nicely modeled and designed model like this get knocked just because of a terrible render.

hey, did you use separate splines to make those panels on the hood or are they part of the box modeling? what about the bolts. are they seperate primatives or part of the panels?
tubby
09-06-2002, 04:33 AM
yeah this is a great model! i like the renders too:)
whats the program of choice and what render for your standard gi and toon shader what type
fellah
09-07-2002, 10:01 AM
the model is _very_ nice!
but those last renders is not so nice imo.. they don't show your model as I think it deserves.. to much grain, and the second one is to dark so we can't see all the nice modeling. I think you did better before..
it's still the modeling that is important and there you did very well(one of my favs!) but it will be hard for ppl to see that now..
hope you change it in the future because that model really deserves it,
take care
// fellah

09-07-2002, 10:21 AM
I surely agree with fellah...your model has a very good style, but the renders are as good as the model. You should do other renders, from different angles and with different lighting setups. That would be very good.
