Simple Align Question

hey...

if you want to duplicate one object over and over, you're after the array tool, found in tools > array, funnily enough... :p

you get control over translation, scale and rotation, and can be a pretty powerful tool if you know it's uses...

if you want to align several different objects, use the align tool (ctrl + a by default)

I dont want to duplicate the objects. I just want the existing objects to be "equi-distanced" from each other. Does that make sense?

The Align tool has no specified distance option. So, I believe, it wont work here

Correct me if I'm wrong, the Snapshot will duplicate/clone the objects.

Sorry didn't read in full...you don't want to copy the objects so that means you have 2 different objs. that you want to be x amount away from each other? Then use the align tool to center the centers or to align the max/min of the objects then select the obj. you want to move and just offset it in eiter the x,y,z direction. you can do this either by right clicking on the move tool icon or by clicking that little icon on the bottom of the screen next to the xyz coords.

or just make grid 10'x10' and than use snap toggle (tick grid box)
