I'm rooting for a Foundation version of Syflex and Shave... it looked like on the syflex site that they only offer it for Essentials. ARG!

A fully-working bug-free Windows-Linux-compatible version of Dark Tree.

LOL...

Well I think it could be super duper cool if RealFlow was integrated in XSI as a plugin ala Syflex.....

realflow is not a plugin. It has plugin connections to all the apps , it exports geometry to realflow which is a standalone app and than reimports when the simulation is done. i dont see how you can integrate it in xsi.

If softimage worked RealFlow into XSI somehow... I would use nothing else! SERIOUSLY! As long as they keep the price the same... actually, integrate RealFlow, and drop Advanced down to $2k.

Starsphere!You naughty man
Stop pinching features from other leading software. You know it was a top listed feature in their last release, even had a demo video especially for it :D

Ah... but Maas only made it for lightwave since it was the app he was using at the time (methinks)... time to lure him to the SI world.

Edit: Ooops wrong plugin... thought it was StarPro.

I would like to see a free Hair-Lite plug-in (unless one already exists?). Like LightWave's SasLite. It's depressing that Foundation gets installed with the Hair tab in place but all grayed out. :(

I'm curious: what would be a hair-lite module? I mean what functionalities would let go?

I found this thread that listed the difference between Saslite and Sasquach. Saslite is the free, but limited, hair plugin in Lightwave. Sasquatch is the full version:

> Standard Sasquatch features missing in Saslite:
>
> a.. Interactive Color Preview
> b.. Dynamics Engine for swaying fur
> c.. Long hair control and definition
> d.. Full texturing of all attributes
> e.. Texturing by images, noise, effectors, and slope
> f.. Over 30 styling controls (Saslite has just 3)
> g.. Smart contour combing, following object shape.
> h.. Faster rendering, with multithreading.
> i.. Shadow casting onto LightWave geometry <<==
> j.. Independent lighting setup options
> k.. "Salt and Pepper" fiber coloring
> l.. Separate base and tip color definition
> m.. Hair helixing and guide smoothing
> n.. Scaling independence (manual or automatic)
> o.. Multiple bias controllers for manual styling
> p.. "Freeze" mode for fast surface previews
> q.. Wind effects, with gusting
> r.. Compositing mode
> s.. Memory management controls
> t.. Animated fur length and density
> u.. Braiding tool
> v.. Versatile clumping design
> w.. 100 page manual
> x.. Cut and paste of attribute sets
> y.. ScreamerNet rendering
> z.. Surface "creeping"
> aa.. Soft surface transitions
> ab.. Backlighting options
> ac.. Manual fiber quality definition
> ad.. Alpha channel selection
> ae.. Shadow quality definition
> af.. Landscape distance clipping
