.... heirarchies longer than 15 items.
I just brought a new rig i was working on up to max 6, hit render and POW... application error. After much fussing about and tracking down the error i've traced it to the fact that if i create any heirarchy longer than 15 items deep then at render time Max falls over.
To try it yourself create a bone chain 15 - 20 items long and try to render it. From talking to some other colleagues its not every install that does it, but every single machine i've tried it on has had the problem.
Can other max 6 users try this and let me know if it crashes or not or if anyone finds a fix... the service pack 1 does crap all.
Other users on the max support boards have reported the same problems but as yet there's been no word in any of the threads from anyone associated with discreet. Its not really doing much to instill much confidence in updating to 6 let alone 7 when such a fundamental flaw exists.
Cheers,

PS. I'm using an Athlon 3000 and the problem occured on 3 Athlons and one P4.
