View Full Version : Any good LW Video Tutorials/Training out there?

I was wondering if anyone new of any great resources beyond Flay.com for tutorials regarding LW! I know Buzz has some basic ones but I am looking into other resources that are available and training materials that are available now and aren't going to break the bank!

How 'bout 3dgarage.com or 3dtrainingonline.com :thumbsup: They DO cost money, but from what I hear they're worth every penny! *Goes back to saving up*

Desktop Images offers a 5 DVD training series taking you from character modelling through rigging and animation. Definately a top recommendation!

For the most bang-for-your-buck, however, KURV Studio's upcoming videos really can't be beat. They're created by industry-leading artists and contain hours of high-quality training. I spent hours talking to KURV about the price scheduling and arguing that those who need training the most shouldn't be penalized by high prices. Now most videos will sell for under $50 and contain approximately 8-10 hours of training. That's about $6.50 per hour of training. The first videos will hit the street very soon.

Ill 2nd what Steve said. I have about 4 hours of free video tutorials online both at www.kurvstudios.com (http://www.kurvstudios.com) and on my site. Im also working with KURV because Wes and the others are great to work with and extremely knowledgeable. Ive been doing online courses for LW a lot longer then anyone else and I definately wouldnt throw my hat in with just anyone. I got to know many of these people while working on wordwares Lightwave 8:1001 Tips and Tricks book which is something else I highly recommend. :)
