Looks pretty close to FF8's ifrit, good job!
The face needs some work. The brow, snout, and chin are all too small.

Lookin good! You certainly knocked that out fast!!
Everything looks pretty good, but i think he looks a bit skinny for ifrit. Its been a while since i played FF8, but i think i remember him being a bit beefier. Just imagine adding the push modifier in max and thatll get you the result.
Also, i might be gettin mixed up with a spruced up ifrit from one of the newer FF games, but hasnt he got more dangly jewelery and shaggy hair?

He doesnt have any jewlery in ff8 and about the shagy hair...had to finish that :D
Yes i have to make it a bit more beefy.

Expect squaresoft to be suing you soon :scream:
Great work - you gonna do his 'big lump of molten rock volleyball' trick?

hey!!
model looks pretty cool.
the only thing i can really say is that there seems to be alot of wasted texture space.
i think you could probably have laid out the uv's better, but i'm guessing you really don't want to go back and do that?
keep up the good work.
cheers!!

I dont think they are laid bad because i dont need more space. There is nothing more to add since the whole object fits.

I do think the UV is absolutely not well done. Of course you "don't need more space" ... on that huge map. The amount of details on your texture doesn't justify the high resolution.
How about trying to squeeze everything into, say, 256x256 (I don't even think Squaresoft had this much on PS1) and keep at least some of the definitions and details. Working in those tiny resolutions will make you pay much more attention to the UV usage.
My 0.02 Euro.
Jezus christ the map is huge.. and where do I see the detail.. nowhere! I think that resolution would have been justified if you would have rendered every single hair on its fur.

Ok resized the map to 512x512,i dont want to make it 256x256 because it looses alot of detail, wich i have added recently.I never said that the map was the final one,it was a wip.I said i still had to work on skin.
