View Full Version : Shave and Haircut with Sketch and Toon?
Has anyone used Shave and haircut with Sketch and toon? I've been eyeballing the two for a while. Would be cool to see some examples.

Sketch & shave work together, but stylistically is usually bad style to have a stylized cartoony figure with very detailed 10000 strands of hair.
You can use the polygon-hair ( to get it recognized by sketch and work with few thick hairs , but its still not what a cartoon-hair should look like.
I am really looking forward to do cartoon-hair with Clothilde.
Up to now I helped myself with polygon hair or tube-nurbs, animated via bones.

I used the word style ---how many times ? in the first sentence of the post--
umph-- very stylish, I guess ;-)
btw, both Sketch & Shave rock.
Shave is in my opinion better suited for semirealistic-to -realistic characters (Shrek style), the more stylized the less it will look right & there are better solutions .
modelling for Sketch is a discipline of its own-- a lot of things thatr are considered bad modelling in realistic approch (like non-beveled edges and objects stuffed into each other) look really good in sketch--
