Hi, First post :)

Well i have been modeling for a little wile now and feel semi experanced, but i dont feel that i have been pushing my self and moving on to new things and have been doing alot of weapon modeling. For my next step i want to move on to character modeling, but i dont want to just jump into the deep end. I really want to understand what im doing and want to make sure my models will animate well. I would be really greatful if anybody knows of some character modeling tutorlas which will help me get in to the scene. At the moment i have been flicking throgh Paul Steeds "modeling a character in 3Ds max" it has been helpful but it feels abit out. Im intrested in both high and low polly modeling and am using 3d max 6, VTM's would be especily helpful.

Thanx alot for any help.

Focusing on clasic body form will help you a lot. Just worknig out side of 3d to understand muscle structure, bone structure and anatomy in general. There are some areas where geomerty becomes important especialy in joints, but the form will take you most of the way. Also, evenly spaced geometry all over the model is fairly key too.
