View Full Version : Cowboy (first model) W.I.P.
Littleberu 08-21-2004, 11:15 PM Well, I finally decided to put my first model on this board for C&C, and I know I need these a lot. :P I had a lot of problems with my first model, but I'm proud of my model to be honest. No, it's not perfect (ahah, far from perfect), but I like him.
I would like you to C&C it, like I said. I really need help with my edge loops, I need to know where to put them, and where to not.
I'll also do the UVs soon, and I'll ask your help for that too.
Here it is :

Edit : BTW, tell me if you want zoom/close up of some part of the body.

Either it's perfect, or totally out of control. :P
Comon people! Help a poor little guy!

Did you forget to post the images? I'm not seeing anything.
In which case I'd say it was "totally non-existent" :D

Huh. I really posted the image in my first post. Is this the same thing to everyone else?

hey! great job for first model
umm loops look fine to me.... except at the knees, you may experience problems animating/deforming later on. hopefully you can see what i mean.
everything good except his elbows need to be down near the bottom of the ribcage; they're too high I thinks....
the hat needs some work on the rims to make it look less flat...
there's something strange going on at the back of his heel, like he busted a hole in his shoe....
and, as a cowboy, maybe make him a little more bow-legged, you know?
the biggest problem is the arms... the elbow needs to come down as i said and also the forearm should come down further (down the thigh, closer to the knee).
keep it up!!!:scream:

Looks very cool, but I also notice that he has no armpits? Watch the edgeloops around that area. It'll be a nightmare to rigg if not done right.
