Title: Ferrari Challenge Stradale
Name: Vision3d
Country: Poland
Software: 3ds max, Brazil r/s, Photoshop

Hi. Here is my latest work. It took about 2 weeks to made model. This scene I prepared in 2 days. The background image is just a photo. I used HDRI technology for better realism. Motion Blur was added in Photoshop. For final render I used Brazil R/S. C&C are welcome. Cheers.

really nice image, but i think the dirt around the first wheel case was made a bit sorted. You know what i mean? But indeed a nice image, in conjunction with a very good compositing.

YEAH!, good model and really nice dirty texturing. The composition are really cool. I would like to see the model detailly without composition and motion blur, and see the model of the all angles for see it full details.

Excelent work men, congrats.

I don't like cars and I don't like 3d cars, but yours is truly beautiful! Nice model and composition!

Congrats!

I like it a lot. Great modeling and texturing.
I love it mostly for not being another "shiny red/yellow super-car on white plate" - I hope you know what I mean :)

Maybe front is still too shiny against rest of car. Anyway - GREAT work.

It's pretty rare that I see a 3d image that I wouldn't be able to discern from a photograph, but this is one of those crazy realistic ones. There are flaws though, most notably the blurring on the upper left of the car, over the hood. That doesn't quite look like motion blur..

i never really cared for cars either. but you took what could have been a boring product shot, and turned it into a image with life and feeling.

beautiful. two little suggestions: it seems, that the front tyre is not in motion, and (this is very subjective) i think the composition is a bit tight, it would look better if you wouldn't fill the picture with the car (i mean leave a little more space, BG on the side of the pic).
but again, it's the best car render i've seen lately.

- Very nice work!
- I think that the "bloom" effect is a little much.
- Nice model.

It looks almost perfect... Except for the fact that the car seems to run on dirtroad but there is no dust coming out from the tires.
Although i'm sick of the rate those car models are popping up lately... Good Job!

Can we see some wires?

The model looks nice. I agree though that to make it a better compostion you should give the car some more room on the left and right sides. Let it breath a little.:)

This is the first piece of car artwork I've seen on this site, that actually has some atmosphere about it. It kind of makes me feel its in England and about to p*ss it down. Like a storm is a brewing! Very nice work, good composition.

Very nice image! The mesh is very nice and clean and the textures are great. I especially like the decals as they are not too noticeable but add a nice touch. The mud around the wheel area though I think should be spreading more towards the rear of the car, contrary to the direction it is going to give the illusion that the car is moving forwards very fast. Also there seems to be a need for some mud on the front of the car as well.
Last of all, probably a bit evident, but shouldn't the car have a driver if its in motion? I'd really like someone to take the time to model at least a basic driver model to use in shots when vehicles are on the move...

EDIT: Vision3D, I finally spotted the pilot, yes. But if some of us did insist that there wasn't one there at all... I would have never double-checked it! He easily passes as the driver's seat. Maybe he should be a different colour jumpsuit other than red or have some advertisement patches on it or even make him look more towards the camera; just some ideas...

Great stuff. Just one thing. The motion blur (from PS) extents to the front of the car as well. This looks odd, fix it and it will be indistinguishable from the real thing.

As PCollier said this image has a lot of atmosphere to it, which is a difficult thing to achieve with a car theme. Its nice to see the car "doing" something and not sitting under spotlights (although this is cool too :) )

I agree with Fettmops about the regular pattern of the dirt around the wheel arch, like its spent as much time racing backwards as forwards. But that is the only thing I can critise about it.

The composition is great.

First of all, who doesn't enjoy cars?! That's just strange in my opinion...perhaps we should start modeling horse and buggy compositions? :)

lol...to Steve.

I think the render is friggin' gorgeous, and I'm kind of surprised that so many people didn't notice the driver. It's just obvious to me.

The only critique I have is that the front tire (not wheel though) looks static and doesn't appear to be spinning. The only other thing I notice is that the front windshield, hood etc. could have some dirt applied as well; maybe even have the windshield wipers moving or something.

Great work bro!

I agree, you should render the car and then add it to the blured background. It almost looks like spec bloom and thats what I thought it was until I read you added the blur in photoshop. The blur on the wheels are good though.

Really nice. One of the best integrations with a real background I have seen.

If you have time, what about some words of the making of?

Well, it's nice stuff, but, for me this is too romantic aura and light, and too sharp reflection on car body. Otherwise, this is PRETTY COOL WORK man! What is the shaft or sth, in backround?

everythings good :)

Now that the motion blur has been removed you notice the darkening frame edges more and with the extended space at the sides of the frame the composition is more balanced too, great image!

2 weeks eh?
Wow, that's impressive turn around time for such a nice piece. Of course I don't know how many hours a day that equates to, but still impressive none the less!

Thanks guys:) Yes I modeled it about 2 weeks, 4-5h/day. So as You can calculate modeling took about 70h (fully detailed interior and engine). Kind Regards.

I'm sorry for doing that with your car. But it's only to show you something I think is a bit strange

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y4/Dravonic/58472_1093098076.jpg

See the area marked with red? I think it shouldn't be so dirty as the wheel throws the dirt only backwards.

But the rest is really nice! It appears to be real! congratulations

PS: Im sorry if somebody said the same thing about the dirty.
