My second serious attempt with Painter.

Still need to work on the general shape of the nose, it looks pretty off right now.

I think the rest of it looks proportionally and physically correct though, but I could be wrong.

The final painting won't have the sketches in them, I'm painting in a layer underneath.

Critiques, comments, suggestions welcome and requested.

Starting to get the face almost done.

Hi :) - Your painting technique seems pretty good - but I think you need to work on your initial sketch more before you work into the piece too much... - "you can't polish a turd" if you know what I mean :)

Nice shading/colouring though -
Take it easy,
Chris.

djstumpy has a good point - work on the initial sketch. I often can't wait to get into the detail only to find myselft re-hashing the proportions a hundred times later on. Doing a good clean sketch before hand saves time. It may also help to find some good reference pictures. Right now I'd say work on her chin, cheeks, nose, and the left eye (looks like it's too low).
